In 1997, SODAŞ approved the purchase of a Refined Sodium Sulphate Production Facility with a capacity of 58.000 Tons/Year from the Germany-based company Hoechst AG, and following the completion of the dismantling of the facility in Germany and the ongoing establishment efforts at our Çardak Factory, the facility was commissioned in 1998. |

| 2015 | In 2015, the geological surveys, exploration drilling works and analyzes carried out by MTA in Acıkuyu and Yeniköy locations near Konya Province Ereğli District revealed a 2000-hectare mining area of Group IV with estimated reserves of 646 million tons of Sodium Sulphate and 524 million tons of Sodium Chloride, and a mining license was obtained. |
